Vitaly Petrov will drive Caterham F1 car during Russian event of WSR


Russian Formula One fans don’t have a lot of chances to see Vitaly Petrov driving – until now he only participated in a number of road shows in some cities. But situation is about to change – on 14th and 15th of July Vitaly will drive Caterham F1 car on proper racing circuit, situated just 80 km from Moscow.

In the middle of summer world class racing event will come to Russia for the first time. New autodrome near the city of Volokolamsk will host a week-end of World Series by Renault. During three days spectators will see a lot of racing action in three different categories and interesting off-track program with various events for people of any age.

One of the most exciting event, which is definitely worth visiting at 97th kilometer of New Riga motorway, is a Vitaly Petrov’s demo drive on Caterham F1. No one can stay indifferent to incredible roar of 800 hp engine, breathtaking dynamics of F1 car and its unbelievable speed in fast corners. In familiar environment Formula One driver and his car can really demonstrate what they are about. To say more – every spectator, viewing Vitaly’s demo drives, will has a chance to ride with him!

During WSR event special lottery for spectators will go on, and winners will take a lap around circuit in a right seat of hot hatch Renault Megane RS, driving by Petrov. Caterham F1 driver will have more passengers, as he invited a number of people from Russian Helicopters company, which recently started to support its compatriot on Formula One tracks.

V.Petrov: “Every time I get a lot of positive emotions visiting Russia – and much more in case of some event for fans. I think this is really important as not many of them can visit Grand Prix, while TV picture do not provide the complete atmosphere of Formula One. So I hope to give a lot of positive emotions to spectators during upcoming demo runs at Moscow region and invite all motorsport fans to visit World Series by Renault meeting. There will be a lot of fun!”
